The 206-acre natural area is seven miles from the main body of the park and borders the Meramec River. The biggest draw of this trail is Vilander Bluff, over the Meramec River.

Quincy Bluff and Wetlands State Natural Area is a very large and uninterrupted wilderness area in central Wisconsin. The preserve features several access roads for hiking. If you are in search of a wilder, more rustic, and lengthy hike then the Lone Rock trail is for you. The trail is a two track logging road and covers flat terrain.

On both ends of this trail there are scenic overlooks which offer magnificent views of the area. Due to vertical cliffs: Caution should be taken at both scenic overlooks, especially the East Scenic Overlook.
